Carving a stylized palette within the underground dance music scene, Eel has been featured on: Vogue, Vice, Visla Magazine (kr), DJ Mag, Dummy Mag, Resident Advisor, Paper Magazine, Netflix, and Exclaim Magazine.

In recent collaboration w/ Leevisa, Joel composed the South Korean Horror/Thriller feature film: 미혹 (“Mi-hok”), starring: Hyo Ju Park, Minjae Kim, & Sunwoo Cha (of B1A4/kpop).

Last summer, the "Daerim - 安 and 安" project (the An-Gwa-An Project), part of the Cultural City Yeongdeungpo, held a movement workshop titled "They Are Ready to Dance with You." Funded by the government of South Korea.
Organized by Kwonryeong-eun, under the leadership of choreographer Kwon Ye-jin, participants of the movement workshop conducted the final performance held at Garosu-gil Park, Daerim 3-dong, Seoul, KR.
